a&dc visit Kenya and South Africa!

June saw Tamsin Powell, Global Product Partner Executive and Lucy Povah, Client Director travel to Kenya and South Africa to visit two of our International Product Partners.

Starting in Nairobi with Career Connections, a&dc’s partner for East Africa, Tamsin & Lucy delivered a series of training sessions around our online tools and the Apollo™ system all the while developing our relationship with their team and learning more about their business.

Tamsin & Lucy’s trip to Nairobi coincided with the 10 year anniversary of our partnership with Career Connections. To mark this, Career Connections hosted a celebratory evening where Lucy delivered a presentation titled ‘Leadership in a VUCA World’ to a selection of HR Personnel. The evening ended on a high with a stunning performance by the Kenyan Chamber Choir who have previously performed for the Queen at her Jubilee!

After Nairobi, Tamsin and Lucy flew down to South Africa to visit a&dc’s Partners in Johannesburg – MAD Consulting.  Tamsin & Lucy co-delivered a breakfast event around the current challenges being faced by businesses in our ever evolving world and the ways that businesses can recruit and retain the right talent whilst thinking about succession planning, competency based recruitment and leadership development.

Much like Kenya, Tamsin and Lucy also delivered training sessions around the online tools and the Apollo system and also an introduction into our Centre Design and Management Course.

Tamsin and Lucy used the time to understand the International Partner’s businesses in more detail and get to know the Assessment and Development Teams. The trip was invaluable in terms of developing relationships which have been forged for many years but have relied on email and Skype to communicate.
