a&dc have been shortlisted for the Association of Business Psychology Workforce Experience Awards! Specifically for the Excellence in Recruitment Assessment Category.
The project that secured our nomination was the development of the Intercultural Competence Assessment, a project which we did for the Metropolitan Police.
The Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) needed to ensure that recruitment decisions take into account the diversity of Londoners and the needs of different communities. They asked a&dc to scope out and develop a tool to assess Intercultural Competence – the “confidence, empathy and capability to work, engage and deal with a wide range of different cultures”. To deliver this objective, a&dc created a behavioural framework for Intercultural Competence within the MPS, and on this basis developed a reliable and valid test to be used in the sifting stage for Police Constable assessment. To date, over 15,000 applicants have completed the assessment.
The Winner will be announced in May 2015. Fingers crossed!
