Dan joined a&dc in 2007 as Product Development Manager.  He is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist with over 13 years experience in developing employee assessment and development solutions.  Prior to joining a&dc, he worked for Cubiks for 9 years.  His main areas of expertise are online assessment, Situational Judgement Tests (SJTs), psychometric test development and Assessment Centre exercise design. 

Dan has worked with a range of large private and public sector organisations to develop innovative tools to support their selection and development processes.  He has developed a range of ready-to-use and bespoke solutions for clients, including SJTs, online work simulations, personality questionnaires, ability tests, competency interview guides and 360 degree feedback systems.  He has a particular interest in using technology to deliver realistic work simulations.

Dan has written numerous articles which have appeared in academic journals and the HR business press, as well as presenting research at several conferences.  He has written and presented on subjects such as SJT design, candidate’s perceptions of online testing, the benefits of electronic work simulations and personality research.  In 2008 and 2009, he facilitated training workshops for psychologists on how to develop SJTs for the BPS Learning a Living programme.
