Leading HR Consultancy
Founded in 1988 by Managing Director Nigel Povah, A&DC (Assessment and Development Consultants Ltd), is now a leading HR consultancy in the field of Talent Management.
Early clients included ICL, Ford, Birds Eye Walls, NCR, Rowntree and Cussons. This strong presence with blue chip clients in the private sector remains today but is now evenly balanced against a healthy representation in the public sector, including a number of large government agencies.
Evolution of A&DC
The A&DC brand has been cosmetically updated twice over the years to keep in touch with fashion and the growing sophistication of the company. However, in Spring 2007 with an eye firmly on the long-term, Assessment & Development Consultants rebranded to become A&DC. The fresh new brand style signifies a strategic expansion from purely assessment and development to becoming ‘your partner in people strategy’. This signifies our aim to work with our clients to align our tactical level talent management solutions to their overarching vision, strategy and culture in order to optimise people performance.
Producing leading edge tools
A&DC is fiercely proud of its reputation as a consultancy led organisation, but every craftsman needs their tools and the provision of leading edge products has supported our core business from the very beginning. Our first Assessment and Development Centre Exercise Catalogue was developed in the early 1990s with just twenty exercises. Our latest exercise catalogue, the 7th edition, has over two hundred exercises. We now have a dedicated Product Development Team working on products to support our proposition of Discover, Transform and Energise.
International expansion
It was our Assessment Centre Exercises that enabled the expansion of A&DC into International markets. In 2005, A&DC Inc opened for business in the United States to provide Assessment Centre simulations to the American and Canadian markets. This business continues to thrive with the addition of a number of reseller partners across North America.
International partners have long been an important part of A&DC’s business model. Following our first partner appointment in Australia in 1995 our global network has now grown to over 20 partners in 16 territories around the world, providing truly global access to A&DC’s assessment and selection products. This is an ever increasing number as we seek to extend our presence and offerings throughout the world.
Growing for the future
Growing steadily, A&DC now has over 20 full-time Occupational Psychologists and specialist HR Consultants within the full complement of 50 staff. We also have a significant network of more than 40 vetted associates who supplement the team as necessary, depending on project requirements and their particular skills.
With aggressive growth targets in place for the future and the continued expansion of our organisation and client base the full history of A&DC is still being written.
