As employers plan to increase graduate recruitment this year, according to the AGR, A&DC is offering recruiters the chance to maximise their ‘application to appointment’ graduate recruitment solutions with a series of offers at this year’s Association for Graduate Recruiters Conference.
Stand visitors also have the chance to win their own Apple iPad by entering a prize draw.
Current A&DC promotions will give visitors access to a range of deals on online self selection questionnaires, online sifting assessment tools, assessment centre exercises, and competency based. A&DC is already supporting established and esteemed organisations, like Waitrose and Sony who have already made in roads to prepare for the graduate season by utilising the online situational judgement tests.
Large volume recruiters can take advantage of a free performance review of their current graduate recruitment process. Whilst the majority of employers may not have struggled to fill their 2009 intake, the subtleties of the market look set to test even the most prepared organisations. Changes over the next twelve to eighteen months will see an increase in candidate dropout rates as graduates apply to multiple organisations in order to improve their chances of success, an increase in candidates applying for jobs that they are unqualified for and improved quality of applications as individuals pull out all the stops to present their credentials in the most positive way possible.
“On the face of it, this over supply of candidates may not appear to be too much of a problem for the average graduate employer,” confirms Shane Crabb of A&DC. “However if businesses delve a little deeper, the challenges become clear with fewer vacancies, more applications, uncertain candidate commitment and a disconnect between the quality of the application versus the applicants themselves. All these factors lead to an increasingly competitive marketplace in which differentiating the best candidates will become even more demanding and therefore costly.”
To support Graduate Recruiters in their efforts to discover the right graduates, effectively and efficiently, A&DC is running a series of promotions to support the whole assessment process:
1. FREE Assessment Process Review : A complimentary review and recommendations as to how you can get the most out of your recruitment process to find the best graduates
2. FREE Branded Sifting Tool: Take the pain out of sifting and get your hands on an online sifting tool that can be set up and run in minutes
3. Cost-Effective Predictive Power: Two great offers for a graduate assessment centre - a free 12 month licence for our online competency interview builder, CBI-Smart™ and/or 20% off our graduate level
AC-EXS® (Assessment Centre Exercises).
“We are noticing that organisations are moving towards a more automated process for their sifting requirements and are increasingly looking at investment in technology that support their end goals as well as provide a cost effective and less labour intensive format,” adds Crabb.
“One of the key drivers behind this shift in attitude can be put down to an increase in applicants with fewer resources, therefore a fast, effective and streamlined process that delivers results and also enhances the candidate experience is becoming increasingly important, particularly as some of the finest candidates will have applications in many organisations”.
“We know that identifying and developing Graduate talent is a complex challenge and as specialists in Graduate assessment and development, A&DC provides flexible solutions that allow you to recruit and retain the very best”.
“With over 20 years’ experience in the Graduate assessment market, our products and services are used globally by leading organisations in the private and public sector from ‘application to appointment,“ concludes Crabb.
