The Cultural Alignment Indicator™ (CAI) for Culture Change
The Cultural Alignment Indicator™ (CAI) enables you to compare stakeholders’ views of your current organisational culture versus what they think it should ideally be in the future. Aggregating the views of individuals and teams helps to establish the ‘culture gap’, and provides a basis for defining, re-shaping or re-aligning your cultural values and norms.

Using The Cultural Alignment Indicator
CAI is quick and simple to set up, easy to administer and straightforward to complete.
The online questionnaire uses 30 different scales to surface the underlying beliefs and assumptions that people hold about working within an organisation and are evenly distributed across three main domains:
- Working on Tasks
- Working with People
- Change and Learning Orientation
Each of the 30 scales are presented in a bipolar format and respondents are asked to rate how strongly they agree or disagree with each descriptor. This feature makes it much more difficult to fake responses as there is no obvious ‘best’ response.
Hosted on A&DC’s Apollo™ online platform, respondents simply require internet access in order to participate. On average, it only takes 10-15 minutes to complete the questionnaire.
