Nigel is the CEO and founder of a&dc. He has a degree in Psychology from Leeds University and an MSc in Occupational Psychology from Birkbeck College. He is a Chartered Psychologist, an Associate Fellow of the BPS and a Founding Member of the Association of Business Psychologists.
Nigel has over 25 years experience and his primary area of interest is in Assessment & Development Centres and he is the co-author of a book of the same name. More recently he co-authored ‘Succeeding at Assessment Centres for Dummies’ with his daughter, Lucy. He was a member of the BPS’ committee, which created the UK guidelines for best practice in the design and implementation of Assessment & Development Centres and he frequently presents papers at conferences in this area, both within the UK and around the World. His most recent projects include a DVD on Assessment Centres and another book, Assessment Centres and Global Talent Management.
Over the years he has worked with private and public sector clients, such as Compaq, DTI, DVLA, Ford, HMRC, Ordnance Survey, Parker Hannifin and Unilever.
Prior to forming a&dc, Nigel worked as a Training Manager at ICL, as a Recruitment Consultant and as a professional Chess player. He holds the title of International Master and has represented England on several occasions.
